Im going on Roadtrip~~~

Hi girlies~~~i thought i'd do a quick update. For those of you who aren't from Canada, this weekend its our "Family Day" weekend, so me and the hubby decided that we'd do a little road trip to >drum roll<-----New York City...yay~~~The hubby took 3 more days off from work so we'd have enough time...the drive is about 8-10 hour-ish, so we'll probably split it half when we are going there, and drive all the way back when we return.

I've never being to New York City before, so i am super excited, and plus my bestie is currently working at NYC, so i get to spent more time with her~~~so in short, i am so so so excited...i'm like the only person who hasn't gone to NYC among my frds...so it would be nice too finally go and do some major site seeing....

I am most excited about the American Museum of Natural History...yes, you heard it right, the Museum...I am such a museum geek...i rmbr back when i was in Uni, me and my other bestie used to go to ROM(Royal Ontario Museum) all the time, and there was this one time, the Museum had the world largest cockroach on display, and it was alive i think...and we were so creep out, then my phone rang, and it spooked the hell out of both of us...lol...and if i ever get the chance to go to Washington DC, i'll be all over The Smithsonian....

of course I'll do some shopping as well...i actually want to get the Naked 2 Palette From Urban Decay, but it is marked with a hefty 60 dollars in Canada, where as in the US, its only 50, with the exchange rate at our favor, i might buy it when im there...

So ya, my little update ends here...i will do a update/travel blog post when i am back early next week, so in the meantime, i hope you guys have a great weekend ahead, and i will blog very soon

Look of the Day - Sort of Valentine's Day inspired

Hello to all my lovely readers, i am back today with a new look that is sort of inspired by valentine's day....i mean for looks you can wear on valentine's day i think a classic smokey eye would be the first choice for alot people. Then u get looks that is still kind of a smokey eye but with more red and pink...i think mine is the latter. I used in total 3 colors for this look, and in my opinion is very easy to do...although I do think this look is more day time than night time, but if you guys change up the lip color, it could be a more subtle nighttime look.

As you guys can see, its a very simple look using three different shades of purple and pink...it is a very simple and easy look to do...and if you want to make it more dramatic just use a matte black on the upper lashline and blend it up. also choose a darker shade of purple and use it on the outer corners.

So the steps for this look are:

1> use A and sweep it all over ur eyelids, especially in the inner corner.

2> Use B, and put it on the outter "V" area of the eye, and blend it half way in to the crease.

3> Use B, and smudge it on your outer lower lash line.

4> Use C, and pat the color onto the middle of your eyelid...

5> Use A, and put the color onto the inner corner of the eye.

6> Use your favorite Black Liner to line the upper lashline, outer half of the lower lashline, and lower water line.

7> Curl your lashes, and use your favorite mascara.

8> Put on a pink/mauve blush.

9> Apply your favorite lipstick.

and the look is done.

Review: Circle Lens - Neo Queen Hazel

Hi girlies, how are you guys today...Today, i am writing a review for a pair of circle lens, they are from Neo Vision, and they are the Queen Hazel 4 Tone Series... I got the color in Hazel, From the website Eyecandylens.com

The Info listed on the website is:

I did receive these lens for free under the conditions that i write a review, but i promise that my review will be 100% honest.

First of all i would like to say that shipping is fairly fast, They shipped it out on the 29th, and i recieved it yesterday which was the 6th, only a week. And consider the company is based in Hong Kong, i think the time is very reasonable. Also i would like to let you guys know that they offer free shipping worldwide when you purchase from them, with a tracking number, how awesome is that. The website is easy to navigate, and they have a comprehensive stock of different brands, color, size, and design for circle lens..Though not much, they do have a small selection of false eyelashes. Now also, if you purchase circle lens from them, you also get a pamphlet on using and caring instruction. I think its comes handy when you are new to circle lens. In terms of how the company operate, I have no complains. Also when you do make a purchase on the website you can use my code "threenothing" for a free surprise gift, no minimal purchase required.

Now on to the lenses. I`ve heard from many bloggers in China, that they love the Neo lens, because it is comfortable, because it has a higher water content. and one of my favorite make up blogger Arora who is Chinese, but based in England, uses Neo lenses very often on her blogs. So I`ve always being curious about them..So when Eyecandylens.com ask which pair i want, i chose Neo lens.

So here is my review:

Enlargement: as far as enlargement goes, they are not comparable to the GEO princess Mimi or even the GEO nudy series, however, as you guys can see, it still enlarge my eyes abit, a very subtle change, if you are into natural looks, i think you`ll like this pair.

Comfort: As far as comfort goes, they are the most comfortable circle lens i own period. Like when i put them on, it was like i`m not wearing them at all..with all my other lens i could still feel the lens, but with this pair, i dont feel a thing once u put it on. They are sooo comfortable. however with lens that has a high water content, you need to reapply eye drops more often, so your eyes are`t dried out.

Color: The color i got is hazel, which you can see from the picture is light brown-ish. Even though it has a darker rim on the outside, but it is not solid which makes the lens look more realistic. I have dark brown eyes, so when i put them on it lightens the color of my eyes, but not in a freak-ish way, more like a exotic way, so i do like the color, and i really like the design of the lens, its so natural, yet you see a difference.

So here is my final verdict:

Enlargement: 6/10 (very subtle almost none enlargement effects)

Comfort: 10/10 (hands down most comfortable lens i own)

Color/Design: 8/10 (while i like the design very much, i fee the color could be better)

That pretty much sums up all my beauty related purchases during the month of December and early January..please don't think i've bought everything in one day...that's just insane...I didn't swatch evrything in this post, because i dislike posts that are too long..or maybe im just getting lazier..also because i'm always late on the make up trend, so by the time my posts are up, there are hundreds of swatches already made...however, if you guys want to see specific swatches, or want me to review specific items/brands let me know down in the comment section, i will get back to you as soon as i can..

I like all the colours that I bought

Now I luv the consistency of the NYX shadows, they are very silky and soft, and have amazing pigmentation, but abit powdery. The NYX blush on the other hand is very good, very pigmented, not powdery at all, i've used it a couple times and i have to say apply with a light hand because it's a very intense colour. The Milani eyeshadow and blushes have almost the same kind of texture, with the blush being a bit softer. They are very pigmented, with the blush colour being slightly better than the eyeshadow. But all of them are very shimmery, especially the blush. While the eyeshadow has less fallout, the blush has alot of fallout, so be careful when u are using it. In General though, i like both brand...but i feel that if you want a more glow-ey look then go for Milani because their baked blush will give u that glow-ey effects. but if you want to go for a more matte/satin finish, then go the NYX blush, because it has no shimmer, just bit of a sheen/satin finish to it...

So ya there you have it all the swatches of them lippies...Now if you ask me why i prefer the L'oreal ColourRiche Balm over the Ever so Popular Revlon ColorBurst Lipbutters, i will tell you that, although L'oreal one is very sheer, but it stays for a long period of time, and it really moisturizes ur lips..But the Revlon ones even though it is much more pigmented, the colour itself looks good in the tube, but very bad on my lips...and because it its a lip butter, if you are not careful it is very easy to smoosh the lipstick because it is too creamy...

I actually really love the NYX True Red Lipgloss..it is super pigmented, and even if applied alone without a red lipstick, it still looks very nice, and still is VERY pigmented...

Xmas Sasa haul + My Gift from My Bff + My first Nars Product

Hi to all my lovely readers, how are you guys??? Aren't glad the weekend is almost upon us...I'm always happy when it is the weekend, b/c it means i get to spend more time with my family and friends.

I actually have a haul post today, since my order from Sasa.com finally arrived today, I thought i'd show you guys my purchases...A while back i think it was Dec 28th? Sasa.com was having a great sale, alot of items were 90-50% off, and not just regular drugstore brand, they had alot of big name brand on sale...Also at the same time they had a promotion that once u spend more than 15USD it is free shipping to North America... So I took this opportunity, and bought a few skincare items that i normally wouldn't have...overrall i spend less than 80 dollars for everything, so i though it is quite a bargain

Out of all the items i bought, im most excited about is the Sk-II products. For those you who are unfamiliar with the brand, it is under P&G, and it originated from Japan...and Its Facial Treatment Essence is the most popular product from the brand. Every SK-II product contains pitera, which is their secret ingredient: a type of yeast that originated from rice-fermentation..Im not clear of the science stuff..but the brand has a HUGE following in East Asian countries...and numerous well known celebrity are fans of the brand. Once i get more use out of the products i will do a more detailed review...From the Official Sk-II website here is the product Description: "The latest product launch from the Cellumination family, New SK-II Cellumination Mask-In Lotion is the first step to achieving the way to a glowing complexion. Im also very curious about the Methode Swiss Cream, because it claims that the products has both detox effects as well as deeply hydrate and moisturize. Normally i wouldn't buy from this particular brand because it is quite expensive, but it was on sale for a very reasonable price, so i thought why not, if it doesn't work i'll just give it to the hubby...^_^...

On another note, my Bff had just returned to Canada, and she brought me some unexpected present...I've known her since high school, and we've being Bff ever since. She works mostly in the States, so i ask her to brought me some stuff that i bought from cherry culture which i will show in a separate post..because if i include everything in this post, it's gonna be too long...So when she got back, she not brought me my order, but some surprise present that i wasn't expecting.

Anyways, the only product that i ask for was the L'oreal Youth Code Serum...ive actually bought another one, and have being using it...once i get more use out of it, i will do a review...But ya how incredible is she...i mean i luv her to bits...in all honestly i never expected this much stuff, so when she showed me my jaw dropped...If she reads this which she does sometimes i wanna say thank you again for being such a dear friend to me...If you guys want to see a swatch of the Nars Palette please let me know down in the comment section...anyways about the Armani Code perfume...usually i like my perfume to be more of a sugary, fruity scent...If for a more formal occasion i like a floral scent...This armani code however has a very sensual scent, that I never really tried before. It smells like a sexy mysterious women at night....which isn't really a bad thing, and i grown to like it...i'd say i can wear it to a nice formal dinner date with the hubby...or when im feeling very sexy...^_^

Look of the Day - How to Look good for less..and yes i am a terrible blogger...

Happy B-lated new year to all my readers...I know i've being a very bad blogger since my last post was like mid-december...but i was pretty busy during the holiday season. I wanted to do a holiday look, but there were videos and blog post of those like everywhere, so i kinda pass on that idea. But i do hope that y'all had a great holiday season...and wish y'all have a wonderful year ahead

I don't know about you guys, i've went over my budget over the holidays, since there were alot of good sales...so being totally broke, i thought i'd do a look that is very budget friendly... Personally, i've being very into neutral looks recently. I guess with the winter season neutrals are better options than vibrant colours...They requires less products and less efforts in my opinion.

So ya, as you guys can see, it is a very understated, everyday, neutral look...the products that i used to create this look are very cheap, and easily obtainable..it's mainly drug store make up.

All of these products cost less than 10 dollars. And chances are you probably have similar products in your make up drawer... Personally i like this look since again because i've being very into neutral recently. Also if you are a student on a budget, or just started to put on make up, you don't need to spent a fortune on high end products...

Now im not saying the quality of these are just as good as high end make up..they are not..

for example the mousse blush is very sheer, the clairs palettes are very powdery and not very pigmented. But nevertheless, they are still good products. My point is, there are alot of ways that you can make yourself look better more polished that doesn't require tons of money...For example, even though i luv Dior Show Mascara and YSL volume effet faux cils, but spend 30+ on a item that i can't use for no more than 6 months is insane amount of money...where as maybelline mascaras are just as good, for a fraction of the price...To be honest i havent bought any high-end mascara in over like 2years now...Well they are good, i just don't think spending that much money on product that expired in 6 months is worth it.

Anyways i am not preaching you guys, so please don't take it the wrong way, but if there are ways that you can look good for less I think it is a way better options than spending more and not look that much better..Right?

Anyways, I hope guys like this look and my little honest opinion, I hope it helps you in your future purchases, and hopefully saves you some money..

2011 November Haul with Swatches

Hi my lovely readers, how are you guys today, aren't you glad monday is finally over??? i know i am~~~i hate mondays...lol...Sorry that i didnt post this haul sooner, but i was otherwise occupied last week, and i think im coming down with a cold, cuz the hubby's being sick for the past couple weeks, and he finally past on his germs to me this weekend..Boooo...anyways this haul is the combine purchase from all of November till last weekend, i didn't buy all of them at once...lol...if you have any questions let me know...also i wanna put it out there first that i am not bragging, since personally I enjoy Haul post myself and alot of my readers like them too, so if you dont like haul post, just don't read ahead...

I've also did swatches on the products if you rather just look at them just scrolled down to see it...personally, the only complain that i have with all of these products is the Maybelline Cream Shadow, although it is waterproof(i tested), but the colour intensity is just not as opaque as i thought, i like opaque coloured eye shadow bases Since they make eyeshadow shows up more vibrant.

I actually like the Sephora Jumbo Pencils, they are sooooo smooth to apply and waterproof and last all day. They are not that expensive about 10 dollars each. The colour pay off is the best, the colours are soooo intense and im thinking about getting a few more colours.

I am loving the Body Butter by Bath&Body Works, not only it smells nice, but it deeply moisturizes your skin even when its very dry.

As far as eyeliner goes, im loving this Make up Forever One because it is waterproof, although i do think ive had better colour pay off that this particular black pencil, but i like to use this one on my waterline.

The Buxom Beauty Eyebase has being my favorite steady through mid-late this year, and i have to it doesn't crease for up to about 7 hours, i love this colour particularly because its versatility. i use it under any look.

As of this months, ive being obsessed with coral lip-colour so ive reaching out this Maybelline Lipstick more often than usual, i like the colour its very bright, and it warms up your complexion instantly but i do wish its more opaque...

If you've seen my look of the day posts b4 you'll know i used Too faced lipgloss in Pillow Talk quite often since the colour is perfect nude over any lipstick, it also has a soft plumping effecst as well.

I Got this Laura Mercier Base as 100 point Deluxe Sample from Sephora and i have to say, while it does feel a bit dry on my skin, it does make my foundation last a whole lotta longer...

This Laneige Total UV base is like a BB cream, so i usually wear it when im on the go because it is easy to apply and has Spf 40 which is a big plus for me.

Look of the Day - Tokidoki Robbery Palette Part Trois

So ya this is the final look that ive done with the Tokidoki Robbery Palette, if you wish to see the first two yo u can click here and here. I think i save the funnest palette for last, cuz the colour are abit out of my comfort zone, i mean as much as i luv bright colours and all, i dont usually put my make up with these colours

So here is the palette i used:

So here is what i did

1> prime my eyes with a black base(MAC paintpot in BlackGround)

2> Take the Dark blue(Meteo) and swipe it under my crease and onto the outer half of the lower lashline.

3> Take the Bright Blue Ninja Dog and swipe it on top of Meteo and blend the 2 colours 2gether.

4> Take the Green Colour (Soya) and apply it in the inner corner of the eye as well as the inner half of the lower lashline.

5> Take the White shimmering Colour(Candy Cane) to highlight my brown bone

Look of the Day - Tokidoki Robbery Palette Part Deux

Quite a Few months back i did a look of the day with one of Palette that came with the Tokidoki Robbery Palette, And i was saying that i would do another look using the other two palette that came with the Robbery box. So Here is the look i came up with.

Since the Palette itself is very Gold/Brown colour, so i think this look is very good for fall...and the colours from the palette remind me of fallen leaves..

And now some updates~~~recently ive discovered the fun in cooking~~~so instead of playing with make up ive doing alot of kitchen work..lol, but i am still a beginner when it comes to cooking though...but i luv make breakfast for myself, and today im gonna try and make coke-cola chicken wing...lol it seem to be very easy to make, and taste very good, if i do succeed in making it, i might do a blog post about it...lol but ya cooking is sooo much fun...lol

Tokidoki Cromatico Palette(Quads) Swatch and mini Review

So the Beautiful Miss Alex from ThisIsAlx requested that i do a swatch of the Tokidoki Palette that ive shown in my last haul post, so i was like okay why not~~~if you guys dont know who Alex is, you should really check her blog out, especially right now she has a awesome giveaway. She is one of the first blogger that i got really close with, we both live in the GTA, so we are always planning our meet up in the future...lol

I actually have quite a few Tokidoki product to start with, these two that im showing in this post i got them when i was in ottawa during Canadian thx giving weekend...These quads were on sale during the summer for 14 i think, but right now they went back to full price again, which is 24. I paid full price for these >_<

So ya the above two are the ones i got. The Pink palette is called Polpettina, the Green palette is called Bastardino. I think in general, Tokidoki palette are good quality, the one problem that i've had with them is that, they tend to have quite a bit of fall out, so you really have to make sure you tapped off the excess products. As far as pigmentation goes, without a base they are not as pigmented as say MAC e/s, but they are still good. With a base either colourless ones like UDPP or Too Faced Shadow Insurance, or Coloured eyebase like Mac paintpot or MUFE aquacream ect, they show up extremely well. Also when applied with a base, there tend to be less fall out as well...

So ya here are the Swatches:

In general these colours are very versatile, especially Bastardino, which i think could easily be a everyday palette with the browns, the beige and the green. Polpettina are great to create a good day time smokey with a hint of girly-ness with the pink. the Colour Riosino, Carnivora and Candy Cane are very very shimmery with alot of glitters, so you might wanna apply with a light hand and rmber to tap off excess products. The Colour Polpettina, Adios, and Mummetto are Matte finishes. The colour LA Gun and Bastardino, are shimmery, but they don't have the huge chunks of glitters are Candy Cane for example, they also produce less fall out. As far as texture goes, from the matte finishes to the super glittery ones, they all feel very soft, almost have silk texture. even the glittery ones dont feel too harsh...

So Overall, i think these are good shadows, if you can get them when they are one sale i say get it, because i think its a great deal. i wouldn't say they are mediocre, but their quality is above average, and even though they are a bit pricey, but they won't feel feel ripped off by it, plus the Packaging is too darn cute too pass on.
So here are my scores:

Pigmentation 7/10

Texture 8/10

Price 6.5/10 (kinda expensive)
Packaging 10/10 (Uber Cute and they come with cute little phone charm.)
Overall 7/10

My China Haul+October Haul+Update

Hi my lovely Readers, since i promised that i'd do a haul at the end of the month i thought i'll post them up today...

First of all i would like to thank for those of you that wished me a speedy recovery from my allergy attack last week. Although it wasn't so serious that i need to call 911, but it was serious enough that i was on allergy medication for quite a few days upon 'till early this week until the symptoms were completely gone. And since many asked me, my appointment with the allergy specialist is next week, so i'll know what i'm allergic too then, and avoid those things in the future to prevent stuff like this happen again.

Now onto my Haul...i Don't wanna make this post too long, so if you see anything that you would like me to swatch please let me know down in the comment section.

Hi girlies, i have some very bad news...for me

So if you guys being following me for a while you'd know that i have very sensitive/allergy prone skin.. and about 2 months ago i started to have mild allergy attacks at night... i mean it lasted a awhile then i was on medication so it was gone, and while i was in china it only happened one time so i thought great i think im finally over it right??? WRONG....since Sunday night, my body started to react very badly to unknown substance, and since then ive got hives all over my skin from my feet to my face...i mean it comes and goes, but its not going away permenately...and because the doctor doesn't know what i'm allergic to yet, he said only for me to take Benadryl..while it does help with the itching it makes very drowsy....and i really start to hate myself at the moment, like major self pity....

and the worst par is that, i dont know what was it that im allergic to so even if we have it in the house we dont know what to get rid off...and to make matters worse, ive done/touched/ate nth out of the ordinary, nothing that i haven't had b4...so it really confuses me that allergen it is....right now i have a allergy doctor's appointed at NOv. 2nd... and b4 that i dont think i can put on make up or at least until this thing goes away for good....

So ya i guess that'd be my bad news...i will still try to update and try to find new things to write about, but until my allergy gets better, no make up post.....

In the meantime i hope that none of you guys has to go through what i am experience right now because its horrible, and in the word of my hubby he thought i look like a freaking sausage + hot dog with all the hives all over.....and it itches like hell....

So basically what i did was just using the brown under my crease, the outer corner of my crease and on the outer lower lash-line, then the green on the centre of my eye lids, with the cream on the inner corner of my eye.

So ya sorry if this post is a bit too short...lol but i promise to have more post to come, as far as jet-lag goes im totally back to my north American time zone. I will post my haul from China as well as everything else i've purchased through out the month of October at the end of the month...so I dont have to post up hauls every so often...lol

Hello Girlies~~~I am Back

Hi there my girlies~~~i am back from china~~~~if you follow me on twitter, then you know that i got back last Wednesday, but i was very much jetlagged, and if you follow me on twitter, you'll also know that ive being sick...well still is sick, but i feel better now than say last week~~~

So ya i guess i should tell you guys abit about China~~~lol well like i said b4, or i hoped ive said b4 i am originally from Beijing, so to go back home and to see my cousins and relatives and my grandparents always feels great. Also, because i am originally from Beijing, I didn't go to any tourist spot Other than the pedestrian friendly Qianmen which i did go to quite often since first of all it is easy to go to from the Hotel, also because it has all the best Beijing Style cuisine the city has to offer...from breakfast to dinner from snacks to dessert, you can pretty much find anything there...lol..but ya i dint go to the Forbidden city, ot Tienanmen Square or the Great Wall, since ive all being to those places b4, and they are awfully crowded with tourist from all over the place...

Since i didn't go to any tourist places, i didn't take that many pictures...lol...well i did, but it was mostly with my bestie and my cousins and my family and such...and food~~~well i try to take picture of everything i eat, but sometimes it would just totally slipped my mind...but i do have to say though, well i luv all the amazing beijing style cuisine the city has to offer because i am a native. One of the hubby's co-worker who is Dutch, didn't really like the food....i mean he likes hot pot, but thats about it...and it was kind of shocking to me that he didn't like the Famous Peking Duck...personally i think that if you are planning to go to Beijing, i think you have to have the mentality that the Chinese food there are going to taste nothing like the Ku-Pao Chicken that you get from North America...Since the chef don't have to adjust the taste to the likings of North Americans, the same dish can taste very different...lol

Well anyways...i guess this should concludes my little update on my current whereabouts...lol i will do a China Haul post....but to be honest i didn't buy that much...i mean the clothing there are pretty, but they dont fit me...lol...and i spent most of my money on eating stuff...i think I've gained at least 5-10 pounds from the trips...even my mom and the hubby think i got chubbier than say a month ago....haha...i guess some serious dieting are in order....

Sorry ive being MIA...recently if you read my last post you'd know that my brother in law and cousin in law are here in Canada for a visit they are not leaving until the end of the month, so i have no time to do any make up...mainly because they are using my "make up room" as a bedroom, and id feel weird to ask a bunch of guys to get out of the room while i do make up...I am also not that comfortable doing my make up in front of other people especially guys..unless its my hubby...so ya...but being a smart girl i did a few looks b4 they came so i have something to post while they are here...One more thing i think im going to ottawa/montreal/Quebec city with them this week, so kinda excited for that..

Look of the Day - Brown Smokey Eye

Hello my beautiful readers~~~sorry i haven't being updating yesterday like i should've~~~lol, but as for this thursday day, im gonna be super busy until the end of August~~~Why you might ask??? Well my brother in law and cousin in law are visiting the hubby, so me and the hubby have to show them around in Ontario, and they wanna go to Quebec City/Montreal as well...so we have to take them to alot of sight seeing places and whatnot, so my updates will be less than b4, but i promise everything will be back to normal after they are gone, which is the end of August...on the plus side of this, the hubby took a total of 7 days off work, so i get to spend more time with him~~~

Anyways, today's look its a slightly dramatic brown smokey eye...I forgot to take pictures of the Products that i used so i'll list them here right now
MAC Minerliazed Eyeshadow in Smokey Ruby (LE)
NYX Runway Palette in Champagne and Caviar

and i used Vaseline instead of lipgloss/lipstick...haha, and i luv the result..

So here is what i did
1. Prime my eyes with a black primer(MAC blackground paint pot)
2. Apply Smoked Ruby under my crease
3. Take a Brown colour that is a few shades darker than your Skin colour, and apply it on the eye socket area, also use the same colour to define your outer V area.
4. Us a shimmering white color and apply it to the inner V area
5. Take a Gold color, and apply it to the center of the lids.
6. Use the Same Smoked Ruby and apply it to your outer lower lashline.
7. Eyeliner and Mascara
8. Blush
9, Lipgloss
Then you are done~~~

Product Review - Bliss' The Youth as we Know it Anti-Ageing Cream

Hello my lovely readers, how are you guys today..I am doing really good~~~haha and today i am doing a review of the Bliss "The Youth as we Know it" Anti-Ageing Cream...I bought this back in end of the May, and i started to use it since late June...

Here is the packaging.

Now personally speaking, i don't have any major wrinkle to start with, however my face do have quite a bit of discoloration because of my sensitive/allergy prone skin...after using this cream for about little over a month, i feel that my face is more "glowy" than say b4 i started to use it..also i notice that it does make my skintone more even than before. As far as anti-ageing goes....at least i didn't get any wrinkle while i am using this one...As a moisturizer, i think it does a very good job. It is a rich cream, but it get absorbed very quickly and easily. And it does have a scent to it, but it's not parfum its the scent from the ingredients. I feel that it does lock in moisture very well. Since its summer our house is air-con 24/7...even if i wake up with no oil on my face, but it doesn't feel dry, and it feels silky even. I guess you can say that it balances oil on your skin as well, cuz not one day did i wake up to oily T-zone(my Oily Area). This cream is design to be used on morning and night, but i feel during the day, it doesn't control oil as it does well at night...but then again i sweat way more during the day than at night...Overall, i really like this cream, i would defintely buy it again..but maybe not right a way, but for winter...i think you guys should try it out if you have the chance...

The only complain from this cream that i feel is that, it is quite pricey..about 87-90 dollars depends on where you buy it from. But personally i do feel that it is worth the money that you are paying..Actually when i comes to winter, i might buy the whole set of face wash/eye cream/toner/cream set...they usually have good value packs during X-mas time.

it is a thick cream, but goes on very smooth.

You only need about pea size for your whole face and neck..

My final Verdict 8/10...Minus too because it is quite expensive...but other than that i have no other complains with this cream..so i hope you guys like my review of "The Youth as We Know it" Cream"..if there are anything you guess want me the review or any make up look you want me to do, or any question about anything...let me know~~~

Look of the Day - Wearable Multi Colour (Yes i know i suck at coming up with names)

So ya i was gonna do this look yesterday and post it up, but it was raining all day, and the lighting is just sooo bad...so i end up doing this look today, since the sun is very happy to be out today, and the lighting is fantastic.

So, here is the look i did:

I used 3 colours to complete the look, all of them compliment each other: Purple on my lids, Green on the outer half of lower lash-line, and Gold on inner half of the lash line and inner corner of the eye.

I thought this look is very wearable on a daily basis for work if you wanna wear some colour but still want to wear work appropriate make up.

Here is what i did:
1. Use Black make up base and apply it as you would with a thick eyeliner
2. Use a purple base and apply it on top of the black base and all over your eyelids but under your socket bone.
3. Use a dark purple and apply it all over the black eye base.
4. use a light purple or lilac, and apply it all over the purple eye base.
5. Take a Green Base apply it to the out half of the lower lashline
6. Take a dark Green colour and apply it over the green base on the out half of the lower lashline
7. Take a gold eyeshadow and apply it on the inner corner of the eye, as well as the inner half of the lower lashline.
8. Line your eyes with black eyeliner (tight-lining optional)
9. Curl your lashes and apply Mascara
10. Apply your favorite Blush
11. Apply a Mauve colour lipstick and lipgloss...
The Look is complete.

I like the Fact that it has a higher water content, it makes the lens more comfy to wear...

the colour is nice and opaque

I thought the colours are very opaque, a little different than the colour listed on their website...but they are comfy to wear though, i like it...however unless you are Caucasian, i won't recommend wearing them alone without any make up...its a bit too much...but with make up they look nice though...i think this particular pair of lens looks better than in pictures...they look more natural in person...where as in pictures they look abit fake...

The Shipping took about 1 week and half...which is acceptable for me, since it is shipped from all the way from the other side of the planet...the whole transaction is smooth. they pack the lenses very nicely so there weren't any damages during the shipping time.

My Final Thoughts:
Colour 8/10 (Very nice colour. just a bit too opaque and hard to wear without make up)
Comfort 9/10...Very comfy, feels better than the other pairs that i own, but you can still feel the contact lense
Enlargement: 10/10 These Lenses are very big, and give you a great enlargement effects...if you like more wearable color, try the grey or hazel..

So ya i hope everyone had a great weekend in Canada it was civil weekend, so we had an extra day off~~~plus it was my bday weekend so i spend whole lotta time with my hubby and my bestie~~~and yes as for my cake~~~i got a Tiffany gift box cake~~~the bakery i got it from did a great job~~~it was very pretty, and quite tastey too~~~

isn't it purtty~~~

as for present, im not that much of a present kinda gal so i didn't expect to get any...lol...plus i told my frds not to get me anything anyway...But the Hubby did get me a card...and he said he owes me a Iphone5, so when it comes out hopefully later this year he'll get it for me as a bday present~~~

On satreuday, me and my bestie went karaoke at Uptown toronto, and it was fun~~~i hadn't went for a while so it was very good~~~we went for the 9pm-3am time slot~~~but by 2am i was dead tired and my throat was already hurting...lol so we went home....by the time we got home it was already like 3:30am-ish...by the time i was in bed i think its already 4 or 5.....i hadn't slept this late for the longest time~~~

Look of the Day - J's Classic Smokey Eye + Review of KKCenterHK's Lower Flase LashesSmo

Hi girlies~~~how are you guys...since only one of you guys actually like my last post...i think i won't be posting about my zombie obsessed post anymore here, and instead i'll go back to doing make ups~~~

So today's look of the day is a Classic smokey eye that is more appropriate for a night out with the girls to a club or to a fancy dinner with your significant other...where you get to dress up all fancy and what-nots~~so here is the look:

So ya this is just your typical smokey eye...given it is Friday, i thought I'd share a look that you gals can wear to the club scene~~~

Here are the Close up:

So here are the steps:
1 Apply a Faint Gold Eyeshadow base all over your eye lids (Buxom Beauty Eye Base in Poodle)
2 Apply a Black Eye base under your crease (MAC's Blackground)
3 Apply a Dark Grey Colour(1) under your crease on top of the Black eye base
4. Blend the Dark grey Up and a little over your crease
5 Take a Black Colour with shimmer(2) and apply it on the Outer-V of the the eye
6 Take a gold Shimmery colour (4) and apply it to the inner corner of the eye and the inner half of the lower lash line
7 Take a Black Gel liner and line your upper lash line and outer half of the lower lashline
8 Use a Matte Black colour (3) and apply it on top the eyeliner you just did, and also on the outer half of the lower lashline.
9. Use the same Matte Black colour(3) try and smudge the lower lashline to add more definition.
10. Use a Black waterproof eyeliner to tightline upper waterline and lower waterline
11. Use a Brown to soften the eye socket area.
12 Apply false lashes
13. Apply Peach colour blush on your cheeks, with a pink colour blush right on the front of the your cheek bone.
14. Apply Nude colour lipstick and lip-gloss~~
And you are DONE!!!!

So ya, KKcenterHK was very kind when they ask me if review more of their lashes..since i've never tried lower lashes, i thought i ask for a box and try to use them..now lower false eyelashes are alot hard to work with..so i did was cut them in to small set then apply it on my lower lashline...The set i was sent is A188, and they looks like this:

So again because the band is a bit stiff, it is a bit hard to wear them without cutting them up first...ive tried, and it didn't work...but if you cut them in to little pieces, they work very well...i mean in this post and the Purple Smokey Dolly look, I've used them in pieces, and they look really nice on, and soo natural. And since you can cut them into little pieces, they last along time...and they are very comfortable to wear as well~~~so overall i really like them...they are $8.80 for a box of ten pairs, which is a good deal..and b4 i forget, the band on these lashes are clear, so it is super natural when you put them on...also one more thing i wanna mention is t hat when you are purchasing lower false lashes, try to go for the clear band ones..because they tend to look more realistic than a black band..

As you can see, the clear band doesn't show up in pictures, and they look natural...so ya overall i do really like them, and i would recommend them.

So ya i wasn't even gonna do a post today because of pure lazy-ness...lol but i just finished the announcement trailer of Dead Island...and it has to be the Saddest game trailer i've seen over the years...If you guys don't know already, i am a HUGE horror fan girl...that includes anything from movies to manga/comics...i especially have a soft spot for anything Zombie related...if you wanna know why, go to my Zombie Blog (which is i am on a Hiatus right now cuz ive hit writer block on a short story i was gonna post..lol) then all will be clear to you~~~lol...

So ya Dead Island

Now ive all for horror survival games and all, but i am not a very good gamer to be honest...in the sense that i will more often than not get my character killed...the hubby on the other hand is sooo much better at it than i am...he said it because he is a guy(i called that pure sexism btw lol)..nevertheless i love playing just as much even though i killed pretty easily...the last zombie game i bought was Left 4 Dead and Dead Rising...which the later is a better game in my opnion because some of the humor(intend or not)...but this one right here...it looks good...i will admit that one good trailer is all i need to buy a game...lol and often id be disappointed, cuz the trailer was the best part of the game(sometimes films too)...anyways...my point is that, the trailer for Dead Island has to be the saddest ive seen over the years...i mean it can still still scare the faintly hearted, but not me...but the whole thing is just sooo sad....so without further ado, here is the trailer:

Hi girlies~~~how are you guys today~~~i am doing fine~~~but it is super hot in Toronto again...and apparently its gonna be like this all week long...Huge Bummer....But on a happier note, my bestie is back later tonite/ or early tmr morning...so i am uber exicited~~~

So ya the Jill Stuart Looks-a-like are from Clair's...they were 8 bucks each and buy one get one half off...so i got 2....the Quality is not bad...but a bit too shimmery...but feels creamy when i dipped my finger to swatch. Overrall, they are not as pigmented...but if you use a coloured base(which i always do) i think you'll probably get a better colour pay off

Dining in Toronto - Sweets and Macaroons MoRoCo Chocolat (BAD Review)

Now, being a girl I have a thing for sweets...A couple weeks back i was searching for a place for High Tea in Toronto since i've never being, and wanted(still want) to go with my Bestie once she is back from HK. While i was google searching "High-Tea In Toronto" a Place called "MoRoCo Chocolat" came up...and the website looks pretty fancy...so i went there today early at 11:30-ish...While i didn't do High-Tea, i did however bought a box of Macaroons($15), and a small box of a Lemon Peel in Dark Chocolate($14)...

They looks too cute to eat...lol

I thought the Design of the Bag is nice, although it did cost me an extra Dollar

While the sweets are very appetizing, especially the Lemon Peels(i didn't take any pictures of it). I find the Macaroons to be overwhelmingly sweet...the only one that has some sorta flavor to it other than being sweet was the Rhasberry one...everything else just taste like sugar to me...Well i do understand Macaroons are supposed to be eaten with a cup of tea or coffee, but still....they were kinda too sweet...so at best i guess their Macaroons are mediocre...

What I didn't like more than the Too Sweet Macaroons were the service...I mean i get it, its early in the morning, you guys are still preparing for opening...but with 4 people inside the small store and with 2 more for the cafe area, i was in the shop for 10 mins before anyone even said hi to me...letting alone offered assistant...Seriously I get better service in Godiva than in there...i mean i get it you have package your chocolate truffles...but would it kill you to greet your customer...I don't think im a bitchy customer, but there are certain standards to any shop...when i was working for a large international retail chain, company policy states a customer must be greeted with 10 sec. I mean where is the hospitality of the shop...i mean sure i didn't spend 45 dollars at your breakfast, but i spend 30 bucks buying your chocolate the least you can do is give me a Damn Smile...and i didn't even get that...and when i was at the cash register, the girl scoffed at me for wanting to pay for a 1 dollar Gift Bag, because i wanted a plastic one first...like seriously...i payed to get served, not to get scoffed at....

So on a scale of 10...i give MoRoCo Chocolat 5...Mainly because their Service Sucks, and the Macaroons were very Mediocre, the only thing i liked was the Lemon peel which cost 14 dollars...Seriously, if you just want better chocolate...you are better off at Godiva, at least the staff is Much more Friendlier.

So would i recommend this place to anyone??? Hell to the NO!!!!!...I mean i don't care how great your products are(which in this case weren't even that good to start with), I refused to go to any place when the service is horrible...i don't think im being picky or bitchy...but as a payed customer, i expect at least standard service as those who works at Wal-mart/Mickey D....i mean for a boutique chocolate shop....MoRoCo Chocolate in Toronto Really SUCKED...like Big time...

anyways, this concludes my review of MoRoCo Chocolat in Toronto Yorkville Area....although it's more like a rant....but i hate, and i do mean hate bad customer service...it is the one thing that i cannot stand for the life of me....
if you had a different experience from the place, i'd love to know....or if you are treated the same...well i can you can join my club of not going there...lol

So today i am doing a look inspired by Sandara park From 2NE1...This is the make up she wore on one of the advert she did for the Etude House Miss Tangerine Campaign. It's very simple look that is perfect for going to school...

1. Apply Orange E/s on the outer half of Upper Eyelids

2. Apply Pink e/s on the other half of the upper eyelids.

3. Blend the two colour until there is no harshline

4. Use a Dark Bronze e/e apply it on the outer lower lashline

5. Use the same Dark bronze e/s apply it on the outer half of the upper lashline

6. Use a Shimmering Pink e/s and apply it over the inner corner of the eye

7. Use the same Shimmering Pink e/s apply it on the inner lower lashliner

8. Use a Dark Taupe e/s and apply it on the inner half of the upper lashline

9. Line your upper lashline with a thin black liner, but dont wing out your liner

10. Apply brown to upper water-line and lower water-line

11. Curl your lashes and mascara

12. Apply peach/orange blush and lipstick

Look of the Day - Green Smokey Eye + updates on my Allergy

First of all, i wanna thank all you guys for your kind word with regard my allergy symptoms. They are better now, since i am taking medication and applying topical creams everyday...and the doctor said i might be allergic to the vitamins that i was taking...since they were the only thing that was different than the daily routine...

Since i am getting better~~~i decide to do a new Look of the Day...Since on one of my last post on green e/s you guys really like the green, i decide to do a more Dramatic look using Green. This is my take on Green Smokey Eyes~~~

So here is the look:

W/ Orange Lips

Now i know alot of girls like Smoket eye with nude lips too, so i swap for Nude lips too

W/ Nude Lips

Now which one do you guys like better???Personally i like the Orange lip better~~~

I know There are alot of Green Smokey eye out there, mine is probably less dramatic than alot of those, but still i think if you were to wear this on a hot date or out in a club it's a pretty fun look

So here is what i did:
1. Prime my Eyes with a faint gold cream eye base
2. Take a Dark Green w/ Glitter and swipe all over my eyelids.
3. Blend the Dark Green so the lines are not harsh
4. Take a Grey Eyeshadow, and apply it to the outer corner of the eyes, to add more dimension.
5 Blend the eyeshadow so there is no harshline
6. Take a Golden Bronze colour and apply it to the Eye Socket area and blend.
7. Take a Dark Green Eyeliner and line Upper and lower Lashline as well as lower waterline
8. Take a Black Eyeliner and line your upper waterline( a thinner line than the Green Liner), and wing out your liner
9. Apply Mascara.
10. Use a peach/orange coloured blush for cheeks(bronzer optional)
11. Apply your colour of Lipstick and this LOOK IS DONE~~~~~

Weekend Haul and Updates and more

Hi there everyone~~~i hope y'all had a great weekend...I had a very good weekend...and i made a little purchase too~~~i bought 1 lipstick from GOSH in Papaya and a Boots No. 7 eyeliner. I got both on sale at the clearance section in Shoppers Drug Mart for 5 dollars each, which i thought is a steal~~~

So here they are:

I wanted a bright Orange Colour Lipstick for a while now~~~so when i saw this one, i was like its a good colour and its on sale~~~so why not~~~as for the liner i though the olive green colour is very nice~~~

Now I also got a haircut over the weekend~~~so right now my hair is alot thinner, and more manageable than b4, and i really like the Hair cut~~~i think its really nice...i didn't get bangs though....my hairdrsser basically just cut off the split ends and layer-ed my hair a bit

Also ive being getting real bad allergic reactions over the past 2 weeks...especially this weekend~~~it was sooo bad~~~so im calling my Doctor today and is setting up an appointment, because its bothering me too much~~~and to see what excatly that is bothering me, and if we have it in the house...or should i take medicine or smth~~~but its bothering me really bad...at first i thought it was just a one time thing...then it kept on happening everyday, and right now it is to the point that it is interfering with my sleep...the hubby thought it's heat rash, or bug bite, but if it's bug bite everyone in my house would've gotten bit...especially the Hubby...My mom thought it might be the flowers in the house... or maybe something i ate....but ya there are many speculations, but no accurate diagnosis...so im calling my doctor's office right now...if only his assistant picks up the phone....but i'll keep on trying 'till she does~~~

So wow~~~i think im on a roll now~~~but i think im gonna enjoy my weekend after this, so no more posts 'till monday... my cold is still here and im positively hating it soooo much....but the headache is finally gone after a week of struggle...but my nose is still very stuffy, and i sniff and cough very often~~~Given that my past few looks has being a little dramatic for everyday wear...i thought i do a look that we can enjoy wearing to work/school...

here is what i came up with:

As you can see is just a very soft pink eyeshadow all over my eye lids with brown to define my lashline, but very wearable for everyday in my opinion~~~so here is what i did
1. Use a light Matte Pink and swipe it all over my eye lids
2 use a Matte dark brown e/s to define my lash line
3 Use the same brown on my lower lash line 2/3 in, and make sure it connects with the brown e/s at the outer corner of the eye
4. use Black e/s to define my upper lashlin, but stay under the brown e/s...and only on the outer 1/3
5. use a light pink with sparkle for the lower lash line on the inner 1/3, as well as the inner corner of the eye
6 Tight-line using black, but only up the upper waterline
7 use brown eyeliner to line upper lash-line, lower lashline and lower waterline.
8 Curl and apply Mascara
9 Put on your Favorite Blush
10 Put on your Favorite Pink Lipstick/Gloss
And Voila~~~you are done~~~

The key to wearing pink e/s but without making your eyes looks puffy is to rmber apply with a light hand... and also rmbr to pair it with brown...black maybe a bit tooo harsh at times, brown on the other other hand while it still defines your eyes, but it is alot more soft and approachable. if you wanna use black like me, use it in places that doesn't draw alot of attention but still make a difference (ie out corner and upper waterline.).

Look Of the Day - Summer Blues (got the idea from Megan Fox for Giorgio Armani's Advert)

So ya Since it is summer in the northern hemisphere, i thought i do a Summer Blue eyes Look...i go the idea from the advert from Giorgio Armani Ft. Megan Fox...Since she was sporting a very intense blue e/s look...now my looks are some what inspired by the colour blue on her...but i think it is quite difficult for me to pull that look because she is white and i'm asian...lol our face structure is completely different~~~anyways here is the look i came up with...although i do admit it is not my finest work...

I do like how the cheek colour turn out...the eyes i'm thinking maybe without the brown crease it would actually looks better~~~maybe soon i will do a updated version of this look~~~all the e/s are from the Coastal Scent 88 Original Palette~~~

Basically what i did was use a medium blue all over my eyelids under the crease, then a dark blue the define my upper and lower lashline. Then the light blueviolet on my inner corners along with a shiny silver. then the brown to define my crease. Then i used black eyeliner again to intensify my lashline. I also did tight-lining on both upper and lower waterline.

Look of the Day - J's Singature Make up Look - Smurfette

Hi there all my lovely readers~~~sorry i haven't being updating often...over the long weekend, i caught a bad cold from my hubby, and my nose is still stuffy, although the headache is dying down, but my sinus area is still a B#tch to me...I was gonna do a post yesterday, but i really wasn't feel well~~~

So today's look is another one of my signature look its a purple/pink make~~~all the shadows are from the smurfette palette from Too Faced. This is the look i'd wear if i'm feeling all pink and girly~~and to be honest with you guys i wear this look quite often~~~mainly because its easy and simple, but requires only 1 palette

So here is the finished result:

As you can see, it is a very simple look...what i did was dark brown for eye liner, violet all over my eyelids(under my crease) and on my lower lashline, then pink over my crease, but under my brow bone. for the Cheeks, i used a cream base and top it off with a light baby pink blush. I kept my lips nude/pink...and for this look, i didn't use any falsies...you could if you want, but it is not necessary. Oh ya, circle lens is also optional

2011 Toronto Pride Parade - Pic Heavy

So i hope you guys had a great weekend~~~and us Canadians i hope you guys had a great long weekend...So those of you who don't know, the past week is pride week here in Toronto, and i have to say it was fun, and of course, yesterday was the Pride Parade~~~it is a huge event in Toronto, it gathers anywhere from 500,000 to 1 million people every year (this year it gather about 1 million), its a huge tourist attraction here in Toronto. The last time I went to the Parade was 10 years ago, and I didn't speak a word of English, had no idea of what's going on, had crappy place to see it, and all i wanted to do was go home~~~but as time flies, this time around, i feel I appreciate this event way more than when i was a child. Anyways i am no here to talk about my political ideologies~~~i'm here to share the fun photo i've caught yesterday~~~I took about 450 pictures, but i am only gonna share a few~~~lol, this time i found a good place to stand i was up on the front~~~like right against the barricade~~~so i got a really good look at the Parade~~~

I was really happy to our old Mayor David Miller and the NDP leader Lack Layton there yesterday, its always nice to see politician get involved, they can send very positive message out. I think its a great that we celebrate being different being an individual, and i think instead of fearing the unknown or the different, we should be more tolerant. After all they are people just like us, you don't need to like them, all you need to do is don't hate on them. After all love is love right? if we as humans can be less judgmental, and more loving towards our brothers and sisters, I think world would be a much better place than it is now.

Hi girlies~~~today is the start of a long weekend here in Canada, so you know what that means, i won't be updating until Monday, or Tuesday. Also, it is pride week here in Toronto~~~so I am gonna be at the Pride parade on sunday~~~and when i'm back i'll update you guys on that~~~~

It is just a basic smokey eye, but instead of wing my liners out like a cat eye, i wing it down, to give a longer, but kinda puppy eye effect, but without making my eyes look too round.

For Cheeks, I used cream blush as a base, then powder blush to intensify the pink~~~it is actually a very simple look, and i wear this most often whenever i don't know what look i should do.

Look of the Day - Selena Gomez "Love you like a Love Song" Make up Look 2

So ya here is part 2 of the Selena Gomez look from her Music Video " Love you like a Love Song"

Here my Interpretation of the Look:

I think it turn out okay~~~not exactly how i want it to be

I like the Purple Smokey on her and the Coral Lips is nice too

Personally I think i toned down the look little a bit, the colour looks more intense in person than in pictures. but give t he fact that my eye shape and brows are very different from hers. She has longer eyes than i do~~~but what i basically did was a purple smokey eye, but with hints the dark blue at the upper lash-line to give my eyes more definition. I don't really have a bringht coral colour lipstick, so i end up using Coral Crush by Maybelline colour Sensation, and i think it turn out okay, mine lips were a bit more reddish than hers....as for my cheeks, i just used bronzer to give colour instead of using a blush.

Skincare Review - Philosophy's Hope in a Jar

Alot of you guys probably already know about this famous cream~~~i always wanted to try it, but always get scared by the price. So last year Sephora had a promotion of the 3 steps skin care routine, when you purchase Major Skin care items such as face cream, eye cream, cleanser etc, you get skin get skin care point. so by late last year, i believe it was November, I had enough skin care point that i redeem it for a small size of "Hope in a Jar". I was very excited to try the product out, however at the time i was still using other face creams, so I put away "Hope in a jar", so i can use it when i was dont with my other cream..

As you can see, I finished the whole jar

So early this year around January-ish...i finally finished my old cream, and i started to use "Hope in a Jar". Since the size is small, only 28.4g/1 oz., i finished it in about 2 months...Now I luv luv luv the consistency of the cream. It has a very liquid-ish consistency, but very easy to blend and apply to your whole face. For this particular cream, a little goes a long way, i only use about dime size every time, if the air is especially dry a nickle size. I luv the fact that it gets absorbed into the skin very quickly, like after 1 mins or so it is completely absorbed.

You might read from my older post b4, but here in Canada, out winter is very dry, and the windchill feels like knives on your skin at times. In door is warm, but because of the heat, it is always very dry. However throughout the period of time that i used this product, not day that i woke to dry and patchy skin. So as a hydrating/moisturizing cream, i think this cream deserve a A+. because it is very light, but can make my skin very soft every morning without drying patches.

As far as anti-wrinkle and reducing discolouration goes....I personally don't have wrinkles yet, because im still in my early 20s. I do have discolouration caused by acne/acne scars....I dont think it was that helpful in reducing discolouration, but i do feel that my skin feels very smooth after using cream. And as far as anti-wrinkle, I wouldn't know, because i dont have any....but maybe because i used this cream, and it is preventing wrinkles???

This product do have a scent to it. However it didn't bother me, and i actually kind of like it, it smells like natural herb-ish to me(i think the scent came from the ingredient of the product, not an added scent). Usually i steer clear of scented products because my skin is very sensitive and allergy prone, so most parfum would just irritated my skin too much. There is only one brand that has parfum in their product, but doesn't irritate my skin and it is Laneige, but I will write my story with Laneige in a separate post. So since not only "Hope in a Jar" didn't irritate my skin like the Shiseido Duo, but it did make my skin very smooth and very hydrated all winter long i give it a big thumb up~~~~

My verdict 10/10 would i repurchase this??? OF course!!!!!

Now if you are like me, and have super sensitive and allergy prone skin, I think its better the read the full ingredient list first before buy it, since you might be allergic to some of the chemicals, or natural extras. However, if you have any other type of skin, I think you are really gonna love this product, because even though it is very moisturizing, there is no excess oil. the product is 99.9% oil free, so even oily skin can use it. and the packaging, it stated that it is from all skin type. Personally I really recommend this product, because it does what it says it should, and the results are pretty fantastic.

Look of the Day - Selena Gomez "Love you like a Love Song" Make up Look 1

I don't know if you guys watched the new Music Video "Love you like a Love Song" by Selena Gomez yet, but In the Video, She Changed her outfit and make up quite a few times~~~so this is the easiest and i think most wearable look from her music video. I think I'm gonna do quite a few look-a-like Post about this video, cuz i actually really like those looks~~~

So without further-ado, here is how my interpretation looks like :

The looks is just a thick wing-out liner, with pink pout, and faintly pink blush~~~~and voluminous lashes, I don't think you need lipgloss for this look, so i didn't put on any~~~

Dining In Toronto - Ajisen Ramen

Last week me and the Hubby were very hungry late afternoon on a satureday, but we didnt wanna spend too much money on food, so we went to Ajisen Ramen"s location @ Downtown Toronto Chinatown

Their Food is alrite, nothing too fancy or out of the ordinary. One thing i do like about it though is that, because it is a huge franchised brand, pretty much every location you go to, the taste is pretty much the same, in other words, very consistent~~~pretty much like all the big mac around the world taste the same kinda idea. This location taste the pretty much the same as the one i had when i was in HK last year. So in general i like it~~~the price is very reasonable me and the hubby had 2 ramen, 2 appetizer, plus one drink, i think it totaled about 25??? which i thought was a good deal~~~

One of the soft drinks they offer is the marble soda~~~so basically there is a marble inside the soda bottle that you have to push down to be able to drink it, but you cant take the marble out~~~its fun~~~~

OOO one otherthing i like about this place is that, the chairs are all hot pink~~~~its kinda cute actually

Overall, i'd give this place a solid 6/10, nothing spetacular, the food are okay, not fantastic, but still taste good~~~the price is really good, if you just want a bowl of ramen its like 6-7 dollars, so pretty cheap if you are on a budget~~~I wish the Place a bigger though, its kinda small~~~but compare with other China town restaurants, this one has a very very clean washroom which i really appreciate, cuz i hate dirty washrooms. So ya if you guys are in Toronto and want some very cheap and good ramen check this place out~~~

Look of the Day - Garden Green

So my last post about Circle lens, I said that the purple is my least favorite~~~but since i bought it, i thought i might as well just take full use of it right??? so what looks good with purple??? the first colour that pops to my mind is green~~~so i decide to do a Garden Green Look~~~

So in order to a compliment the purple I used mostly greens, but with a bit of purple liner on my lower lash line, i think it really matches with the eyeshadow and the purple circle lens~~~and recently ive being obsessed with falsies~~~they are just sooo convenient, and looks effortless~~~lol

i think this look would work on any eye colours...even if you have green eyes, the hint of purple will make your eyes shine~~~i mean if you have green eyes, you can try and use all purple on the lower lash line instead just use a eyeliner~~~

I think this look is great for picnic~~~or beach-side barbeque~~~

i was send these lashes along with the last box, qualitywise they are about the same, not bad, pretty average, again the band is a bit stiff, but nothing that bugs me too much. But even though this pair has a shorter lash, but i thought the effect it gives is pretty good~~~very dolly-look-ish~~~

The only Complain about these one is that once you start to use them, it is pretty hard to store them cuz once you cut them short to fit your lashline, they can no longer fit into the little holes on the carbord~~but other than that, its alrite~~~~

Review - GEO Circle Lens in Nudy Grey, Tri-Colour Purple and Princess Mimi Green Apple

So ya, if you guys seen me during the past few posts you'll probably noticed that i got a few more circle lens~~~this time I bought GEO nudy Grey, GEO tri-colour purple, and GEO Princess Mimi/Bambi in Green Apple

the reason why i like GEO lens is that, they have a authenticate code that you can type in on their website to ensure that you got real circle lens, because fake ones can make you blind, and thats why i like GEO, cuz i can check if i bought the real on or not~~~

So ya Out of the three my favorite one in terms of Comfort is the Nudy Grey, it is sooo comfortable to wear, and it looks pretty natural, but also different in a good way too~~~

My Favorite out of the Effects it gives me is the Princess Mimi/Bambie Green Apple, it has a really good enlargement effects and it is comfortable too~~~i wore it last satureday for 7 hours, and my eyes weren't feeling dry or discomfort in anyway~~~

My least favorite is the Tri-Colour Purple....i only wore it to see the effects, and i have to say i dont like the purple on me~~~like on the GEO advert, it looks alot better~~~lol but i guess if i play it around abit i might find it helpful with certain make-up looks~~~

Review - Make up Forever HD Foundation

So ya over the Weekend i bought the Much loved and talked about Foundation by Make up Forever~~~and it is the HD Foundation, and i have to say I am In LOVE~~~

First of all i luv the packaging, because it is a pump style bottle, so less messy~~~and the style of packaging is just simple and sleek in general

Now on to the effects, I am given the impression that pictures are worth a million word, so here are the b4 and after photos of me with the foundation

So ya I think it is sooo amazing~~~and the best part is, it matches my skin colour so so so perfectly~~~ive never said that i luv any of my other foundations, but like i said in the beginning of my post, I think ive found my forever after foundation~~~it is sooooooo awesome. The texture is very smooth, and very watery instead of being more solid compare with my other foundation. Coverage is medium to high-coverage...If you want a full coverage just apply a few more layers i guess, but it is sooo natural that even with a few layers doesnt look cake on, which i luv~~~~to be honest with you guys i have no complain for this product, only love~~~

Score: 10/10

I think this is the perfect foundation, and they've got soooo many colours for any skin tone either you are porcelain, or the dark ebony, i luv luv the range the colour they have~~~now all i need is the HD concealer and blush to complete their HD set (i have both the powder and primer)~~~

I would soooo recommend this product to every single one my readers, i know it is expensive, but i think really worth the money!!!

Summer is Here, Get Your Hair Removing Kits Out!!! - a Veet Hair Removal Cream Review

So ya by reading the title you probably know that this post is about hair removing~~~if you are a guy i suggest you read no further...cuz...well just cuz~~~

So a while back my bestie bought a Groupon for Waxing so she ask me if you want to buy one too, so we can go 2gether, unfortunately i was otherwise occupied, so i couldnt buy it and go with her...Not wanting to miss out the hair removing bonding moment~~~i called her through out the day of her appointment, and called her right after, she is like its alrite, and not as painful as she though~~~so i thought to myself i need to get a waxing session soon, since summer was right around the corner~~~

So Again awhile back i was glancing through my local drug-mart, and i saw tons of at home waxing kit, i was tempted to buy them, until i saw the hair removal creams. after much debating i decide to go with Veet's Hair removal Cream for dry skin~~~the reason being, although i dont have dry skin, but thinking the Product is probably full of Bleach and stuff its better go with the model thats made for dry skin so it wont dry your skin out as much~~~~

so here is the product:

So ya Now on to the "Nasty part", i have to say before hand that, i am not a hairy person, and i have my mom thank for that, she has no hair on her leg and under her arm, as much as i wish i was like that, i have hair on my leg and under my arm, however not that many....i mean I used to without shaving all summer wearing shorts and no one can tell that i have hair...however i was always afraid that people might stare at my legs and see the little hair, then think nasty thought about me...lol but ya and i usually dont even bother shave my under arm unless im wearing strappy shit/dress or tube dress/shirt...but i do wanna get it waxed~~~so if i do have that waxing experience you'll probably will hear about it on my blog here~~~lol

So ya here is my " Not so hairy" leg b4:

yes yes my leg is huge, lets move on from that!~~

And here is the result after 5 mins

pretty much hairless but you can still see the hair "pores", but after you apply lotion its completely gone

So my verdict? its a good product, it does what its suppose to. Now i dont like the scent, it smells like the cream when you go and do your hair colour...almost bleach like. and when i apply this to my skin, it has a slight burning-ish/warm-ish sensation, but i guess thats the bleach thats working or whatever the chemical they put into this product. Also if you do decide to buy and use this product, make sure that you leave it on no more than 6 mins as directed on the tube. Overrall, i think if you dont like waxing or you hate shaving( I HATE SHAVING SOOOOOOO MUCH), this is a good alternative, you can do this b4 you go to bed only a extra 5 mins at night or in the morning on a Saturday~~~

A kinda failed attempted at Katy Perry's 80s Inspired Look From "Last Friday Night"

So ya i was thinking of doing the look from Katy Perry's Look from last friday night, which was very 80's inspired.

Here is how she looks like:

So basically its Blue and Pink on Upper lids with blue on lower lashline, with glitter on both lower lashline and upper lids voluminous lashes with fin frosty lips and pinky cheeks

The lighting outside was very bright, but my cheeks were alot pigmented than this, but i think i got the blue/pink shadow part right, but somehow it just doesn't look right to me~~~and i wore 2 pairs of falsies too, lol, still i just dont think it looks right...Like something is off/missing(other than the fact that she is white and im asian) maybe its my hair??? or i dont have braces???i dont know, I'd love some suggestions so I can do a 2.0 of this look~~~

Speaking of the falsies, KKCentreHk is Kind enough to send me another 2 boxes of their lashes Im using Glamour Short Black False Lashes(A89) in this look, it is a bit short that why i used another pair then this one

Again i think the quality is not the best ive used, but they are fairly good, with the band abit stiff, but nothing too much to handle. these 2 a shorter, but good for a everyday look if you wanna pump up your lash volume a bit, quite natural actually. So i was sent ES A88 and ES A89. Again I wanna thank kkcenterhk, for sending me these Falsies.

J's No No Products - Shiseido The Skincare Gentle Cleansing Foam and Hydro Nourishing Softener

So I think its a being a while since I did a beauty related post, so today im gonna tell you guys about my experience with the Shiseido The Skincare Duo the Gentle Cleanser and the Skin Softener/Toner.

The reason that i usually don't write about skincare product is that, if i haven't finished using them, i won't know if they are good after just a week, so ya this time, i finished both products b4 i start to write this review.

as you can see i've emptied both products

Let me just say that the whole reason that i bought them is because i want something similar to my Laneige products, and since im not allergic to Shiseido sunscreen I i thought that their skincare must be pretty gentle too right??? I mean after all it is a asian brand....and BOY WAS I WRONG!!!!!!!!!Don't get me wrong here, i still love my Shiseido suncreen, but i dont think i'll ever try their skin care product ever again, like EVER.

First of all the Cleasner is very gentle i'll give you guys that, but it does nothing when it comes to removing dirt, make up...i mean ive had sensitive skin for the longest time, and this is the worst gentle cleansing product that I've used...of course i got this for free, cuz my mom's friend give it to me. The product lathers well, but i think it is toooooo gentle to the point that it doesn't clean off all the make up and dirt, sometimes i have to wash my face twice, because using this only once at night, wont get the job done. I wish i have something else thats good to say about this product, but other than the fact that it lathers really well, like it actually gives a really good lather, there is nothing good about this product in my opinion.

If you guys have a better experience with this Product than me, let me know~~~

Now lets talk about the toner. LET ME JUST SAY THAT I ABSOLUTELY HATED THE TONER, SO MUCH THAT I WANNA THROW IT OUT AFTER A WEEK, BUT CAN'T BECAUSE IT WAS EXPENSIVE. SO I GOT STUCK THIS SHITTY TONER FOR THE LONGEST TIME. Okay, ranting is over. Now the reason i bought this one is because I thought well even though the cleanser was bad, it was very gentle, so maybe i'll try the toner, since i was running out of my Laneige one. The first time i used it, it was good, but after a few days i noticed that i start to break out just a little...i thought it was just my hormones right? WRONG , it was THIS SOFTENER, IT MADE ME BREAK OUT SOOOOO MUCH. If you think that i didnt give this softener a fair trial, then you are wrong, i finished the whole bottle, and i have to say i was glad i finished it, because i cant't stand being stuck with this SHITTY TONER. The consistency of the product is very thick, so it is good during winter times, which is why i bought it, but it broke me out like crazy, and i keep thinking maybe im using it wrong??? but i was using it with the cleanser....and still it broke me out....so ya after a long 4 months, i finally finished it, and i was soooooo happy~~~~cuz i can finally go back to other brand that wont break me out

Again if you guys have a better experience with this product, let me know

Dining in Toronto - NakWon Korean Restaurant(BEST KOREAN RESTAURANT IN TORONTO)

Now i know you guys are probably like " what??? another Korean restaurant??" But hear me out, this is not just another Korean Restaurant, but it is THE BEST KOREAN RESTAURANT IN TORONTO. So, believe me when I say this, this place has being voted on multiple occasions to be the BEST KOREAN RESTAURANT in the city. and if you are there during weekend dinner hours, there are going to be a lengthy wait for a table, so whenever me and the hubby go there, we always do afternoon tea hour around 3-ish~~~

So the Address is: 5594 Yonge St Toronto, Ontario - (416) 590-1435 it is right around the corner of Young and Finch, easily accessible by Subway(get off at Finch at the young/bloor line), and driving(you guys can park in the TTC parking lot during weekends, its free)

Here is the place, i acutally took this picture instead of using Google Map

So here are what i ordered:

Side Dishes, One of the Best part of Korean Cuisine, if you finish these babies up, you can always ask for more, its free

Seafood Pancake, my favorite, a must have when i eat Korean food

BiBimbap, another one of my favorite, basically its Rice/Veggies/Egg/Beef in Hot stone Bowl, and you can add Korean Hot Sauce(Gochujang) at your own Discretion.

Finally, they have other locations around the GTA as well, but i've being told the best one is still the original at Young and Finch

So ya This place is really one of the best Korean restaurant in Toronto. It is not just me, but my frds too. They have the best GamJaTang(pork bone soup with potatos, spicy kimchi and other sutff...i dont eat it cuz its too spicy). But ya if you a weak spot for Spicy food ( as i assume alot of people do) then go for the GamJaTang, it is really good, and very fulfilling~~~But if you are like me and cant take too much spicy food, try the BiBimbap, because you can add the Korean Hot Sauce(Gochujang) at your own discretion. but remember if you decide to go for Korean foods, please at least eat a bit of spicy stuff, trust me a little bit wont hurt you. Because in my opinion, Eating Korean Cuisine without trying at least of a bit of spicy, you are not truly experiencing Korean Cuisine. There are other dishes that i would recommend , but im trying out this new things when i go eat: Order smth that i normally wouldn't, like going out of my comfort zone. Because i feel that I'm not spontaneous enough, and that I'm always stuck in the same old routine~~~so i wanna try different things not just food but clothing, make up, hair ect~~~so ya i think you guys should do the same, so if it's time going to a Korean restaurant, just order whatever and go with it~~~who knows, you might end up loving it~~~

Look of the Day: a casual approach to Maybelline One By One Inspired Look

So ya i was glancing through a magazine and i saw the advert for Maybelline's One by One Mascara, and I thought I'd do a look like that~~~cuz it doesn't look too difficult, since its its lots of falsies and green eyeshadow~~~

So ya as i was playing with my make up trying to do this look, I noticed that the look i was doing was a bit more casual and wearable than the model's make up~~~

So here is what i did:

Just Green on my lower lashline with black eyeliner on tip and bottom, plus some green at the inner 1/3 of my upper lids.

ok i'll admit i edited the picture abit, but nth drastic, just lighten up the picture a bit, the original was too dark

Ive never done any outfit post b4, mainly because i think i dress the same all the time~~~I dont consider myself to be very trendy, i usually just stick with what looks good on me than following different trend every season...

So yesterday was my besties' birthday, but since we weren't going anywhere special i just wore something very casual, since it was pretty hot yesterday~~~

After we ate, we went to the Toronto Botanical Garden, Located at 777 Lawrence Ave E, Toronto, Ontario. If you guys are planning to visit Toronto during spring and Summer, make sure you guys check this Place out. When we went yesterday there were sooo many people, but they place is beautiful with many different flora, trees, creeks, we even saw someone taking their wedding photos there~~~

Dining in Toronto - Hong Kong Bistro Cafe in Toronto China Town

Today i was out all day with my bestie and the hubby, b4 i met up with the bestie, me and the hubby were out to get lunch because we were sooo hungry~~~and we decide to go to Hong Kong Bistro Cafe(新香港餐廳) in Toronto China Town. For those of you who live in The GTA, some of you guys might heard of it, some of you might not, but it is a great Cha Chaan Teng(茶餐廳). It is still Chinese food, but with a western twist. This style of dinning originated from Hong Kong, and can be find all over the world where there are HK people..

Now if you are native Hker, i think you might really enjoy this place, since as the hubby(who is a native Hker) put it: pretty authentic compare with all the other Cha Chaan teng he tried. If you go During Lunch hour, they always have great special thats super affordable, and can fill you up quick~~~their dinner special menus is also good~~~i luv luv luv the Macau style baked chicken~~~not the best one i have(which was in HK), but the best one i had in North America for sure~~~~

I tried to take pictures of the place outside, but i think google map does it better than my camera~~~lol...but i seriously recommend this place, their food is so so so yummy~~~

So here is what i order today, i ask for the Lunch special B: Grill Beef Tenderloin with mushroom sauce with Cream soup, and a Cold Coffe with Tea(Yuenyeung), and a French Toast~~~

So ya if you guys are in the area, and would luv some great tasting food, try this place out. this has being my go to place to eat in Chinatown for the past 4 years if i don't know what to eat..i always end up here~~~Now about what to order, if you are a native HKer i dont think you need me to tell you, but if you are unfamiliar with this style of restaurant (Cha Chaan Teng), please for the love of god don't order stuff like "fried rice", "Sweet Sour Pork" "Won Ton soup", or any typical Chinese dish you can get from any other Chinese restaurant...if you are there during lunch and dinner hour, try their special cuz usually thats what the chef are really good at making HK style western food~~~or you can try my favorite "Macau style baked Chicken" i luv luv luv that dish~~~~it didn't order it today cuz it wasnt on the special, and it doenst come with soup if order a full serving...

This place is really really good, i brought quite a few of my Frds who are Hker, they all love the place~~~so believe me when i say it is pretty authentic HK style diner~~~and you know, if you are tired of all the "Kung pao chicken" and stuff try this place out, it is really good~~~and I read alot of review of this place that is not very favorable....all i can say is if you order stuff like Sweet sour pork in a Hk cha chaan teng, you are really missing out on the good food that they are good at making~~~~

Movie Review - Fast Five

So i went to watch Fast Five with the Hubby last weekend~~~it was really really really good~~~i think i said in one of my other posts that i luv action movies~~~i mean I watched other Fast and furious movies too, but this one is by far the best one~~~and i can't wait for the sequel~~~

I mean without giving away too much movie info, to me this movie is 2 and half hour of extremely HOT GUYS doing great action Stunt...and to me that's like candy~~~I mean the acting could've being better at some point, but then again its a action film, I don't expect them to give out Oscar worthy performance. But honestly, watching Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson in Muscle Shirt is soooo pleasant to the eye...and did I mention the killer cars in the movie??? I mean honestly i think this is a film that can enjoy by both girls and boys. I mean this film is like "Ocean 11 meets muscular guys and hot girls with way more actions". If you do decide to watch the movie stay until the credit cuz you be surprised by the post credit scene, and frankly i dont wanna give anything away from this movie, because i think this is the best movie ive watched this years so far~~The post credit scene is one of reasons that i can't wait for the sequel~~But ya if you guys havent watch the movie yet, go and see it, i think you guys will like it~~~and if you go watch it with your boy, i think he'll enjoy it too~~~

Generally speaking, this movie is just a muscle/car/action film that is full of testosterone, take it for what it is and nothing more, is meant to be entertaining, with alot of great action sequences, kool cars, great heist plot, hot guys and hot babes, so if you are into any of the above i think u'll like it~~~

So ya this program is in Chinese, but it is super fun~~~it can basically edit your photo like photoshop, except it is much easier to use~~~the program is called Meitu Photo Editor it is sooo fun~~~I googled it, and i guess there are english version too~~~

So ya i thought Id share this with you guys~~~cuz its really fun~~~whenever i see girls with super edited pcitures, im not saying that inm jealous, but i like to edit my picture enough so that not every single imperfection is showing~~~call me whatever you want, but this type of photo editing is fun~~~
